SuperMarket Coop Update #7--8/25/00
**********
Project Update:
Still plugging away with comment evaluation and site improvements.

With Father Randy's assistance, we have added more information about the Guatemalan cooperative, the Emmaus San Juan Weaving Cooperative. As they are a partner organization of HOME, from Maine, they will be listed as a sub category of HOME on the product web pages. Eventually, we hope to have a
basic web page for them with photos of their village and work.

At Project SuperMarket headquarters, I have been busy looking at all our options for evaluating the web site; additional volunteers, consultants, and courses that focus on the evolution of a web site and improvement of aesthetics, etc. I have been pleasantly surprised at the support I have encountered for non profits and small start ups entering this arena.

On other fronts, Gail has been talking up the project on the West coast and will continue to spread the excitement at the Labor Day Fair in Fall River Mills, California. On the East coast, Father Randy has been completing his analysis of HOME's first month of sales and locating measurement information
for the newest Guatemalan products. ***And the newest development? Chilo Villarreal, Rural Coalition Board member and representative of many of our Mexican cooperatives tells me our participants south of the border are getting their inventories up and will be ready to jump aboard in September.

If you haven't checked out the changes to the site lately, please let me know what you think webmaster@ruralco.org and let your friends know about our great project and limited time free shipping.
