SuperMarket Update #43--7/05/01
**************
I hope everyone had a wonderful Independence Day yesterday and
is not to
shocked to be back to work today!
Very excited to announce we
are moving forward with the second generation of
the SuperMarket Project's Small Farm Connection; formerly the
Virtual CSA!
In the spirit of expansion and growth, Liz is conducting a random
survey of
the 50 pilot phase members, in order to provide feedback to improve
the
program come October.
We will have new options for
membership, including a three-month Fall
membership, a three-month Winter, or the entire six month subscription.
We
hope this will provide more flexibility for our members, as well
as growth
of the Small Farm Connection as a gift for the holidays. You
can check out
the options at the following link (don't forget to cut and paste
it, if it
doesn't all appear in the link)

We hope to add more details
regarding the subscription, as the evaluation
results come in. If you have additional input, please let us
know at
webmaster@ruralco.org
Liz and I are off to Mississippi
this weekend to assist in the packaging of
the fourth subscription box. and then, we will be jetting down
to Mexico to
travel like rock stars for a week. We will be doing a different
cooperative
and pueblo each day, sometimes two a day. The end result of
this tight
travel plan is to post five new Mexican cooperatives online.
To help make
this a reality, Father Randy has agreed to assist us in the data
collection,
photo editing and the driving. :)
One final note, it came to
my attention some folks have been receiving
multiple copies of this update. Last week, we had some technical
difficulties and the update went out twice. However, if on other
occasions,
you are receiving more than one update, let me know and I will
amend that.
Thanks again for the support,
In cooperation,
Rebecca Bond
