- SuperMarket Update #4--8/4/00
- **************
Greetings from the great state of Maine,
Rebecca asked me to write this update while she is on vacation.
Sales are coming nicely and we are all happy that everyone has
started to purchase items from Fall river Wild Rice and from
HOME.
I would like to call everyone's attention
to the new items from HOME, the beautiful weavings from Guatemala.
Every item is hand woven and the sales go directly back to the
weavers in San Juan Comalapa, Guatemala. Each one is a work of
art and very individual. Our new Organic Blueberry Compote is
wonderful on toast and muffins and is made from organically grown
blueberries and apples and sweetened with organic honey.
The baskets are selling well and we
had to call the women who is weaving them for us to order more,
she was very pleased with the fact that everyone is happy with
them and wishes to keep up her production of the melon and garden
baskets.
We all wish Rebecca and Deborah a wonderful
vacation and look forward to having them back in the office real
soon. As soon as the orders have reached 40 we will start to
add more items. HOME wishes to announce the addition of three
new flavors to our list of Jams and Jellies, the will be listed
as soon as the flavors are announced.
Happy shopping to everyone and we all
hope that you continue to support the coop's and the Supermarketcoop
project.
