SuperMarket Update #35--3/30/01
**************
We are pleased to announce that the informational mailing has gone out, marking the official launch of the Virtual CSA! We have 32 members for our first phase, which will make for a great test of how the program works. April will be the first month of the subscription, and the boxes will go out on the 10th. As a few shares remain, the link will remain on the site until April 9th, if you were waiting to subscribe. http://www.supermarketcoop.com

Fall River will be the first participating cooperative in the Virtual CSA and both Gail and Kathy plan on "stuffing" their boxes!

Next week the Rural Coalition Assembly meeting will be taking place here in Washington, DC. You can see a draft agenda on the Rural Coalition web site, http://www.ruralco.org. SuperMarket participants will be meeting intensely on the next generation steps for the project. It is time to move away from
the test phase and really concentrate on opening up our marketing and promotion. All of this will be a cooperative effort among the organizations; with a commitment from everyone.

I will be bringing all of the marketing/promotion suggestions this list has generated with me to open the discussion. If you have other tips, please let me know at rbond@ruralco.org

Also, remember to reserve your holiday ham today from Patchwork Family Farms for April 1st shipment!
