SuperMarket Update #20--11/29/00
**************

Little did I know my comments about Las Vegas would spark so many replies. For those of you concerned, I will indeed be working and not gambling the project's money. :)

I hope you will take the time to check out the fabulous photos Patchwork Family Farms sent us of their sausage and cheese gift boxes.

They did a great job getting them to me electronically and Jamil and I estimated the turn around time of getting their cooperative online to be about 48 hours!

I have continued discussions with the Family Farm Defenders, located in Wisconsin, and hope to see their cheeses up next week. And for those of you who cannot wait until next week, their cheddar cheese is included in all their Sausage and Cheese Combos posted by Patchwork!

Father Randy and I are off tomorrow for Las Vegas and the rest of the SuperMarket Team will follow shortly. In addition to sharing progress reports of the retail site and posting new products from the Intertribal Agriculture Council, we will be discussing upcoming marketing strategy and continued promotion. Among SuperMarket participants, there is a lot of energy for the transition from our test phase to active promotion, recruitment and expansion.

In Las Vegas, we will also preview the other half of the SuperMarket Project; the Web-based product availability database! As a business tool and marketing tool, many of our wholesale vegetable and fruit producers have been patiently waiting its development! It all makes for a very exciting year's end.

The Holiday Shopping category of the Web site has gotten a lot of attention. The first orders for HOME's wreaths went out Monday and our office is already benefiting from the nice, Balsam scent. You can continue to order wreaths for holiday shipment through December 14th! Check them out.

Please let me know if you have any suggested improvements to the site as we enter the holiday season. As always, email me at rbond@ruralco.org

In cooperation,
Rebecca Bond
SuperMarket Project Manager
