excitement and accomplishment the participants and staff of the
SuperMarket Project are feeling about this moment. Since I can't,
why not pretend to hear a drumroll, while you read!
We have successfully launched
our retail site with two of our cooperatives and many more are
expected to follow. Because of the unique variables involved
in our project, we are beginning carefully, in order to work
out the many issues involved and provide the best service and
product to you, our supporters.
The details we are focusing
on are minimum order amounts, most popular purchases, shipping
costs and best options, suitable packaging for orders and the
timeframes necessary to get orders out.
We're hoping you will support
us by becoming part of our test market. As our test market, you
will be asked to provide feedback on your ordering experience,
as well as any suggestions you feel may enable us to better build
our project. As this is our first venture in e-Commerce, experienced
online buyers like you could provide invaluable information on
how we can combine good products and an important cause to create
a new, niche market for small farmers in this country!

creating a new, sustainable food system, built on the pride of
rural communities and limited resource and minority farmers.
